Some customers have reported that they see
their internal lights flash briefly when their water pump turns off.
This affects the dimmable 12V lights in the vehicle and does not always
occur on every pump stop event.? This effect can be just an annoyance
but some people find it disturbs others in the vehicle.

The
problem is caused by electrical spikes from the pump getting into the
Sargent control system and tricking it into thinking that the lights
should be on. This pump noise and the amount that gets into the Sargent
control system varies with things like humidity, temperature, pump load
and general component tolerances so is not present on every pump
operation or every vehicle.? On a technical level, these spikes are
considered undesirable and could be large enough to cause premature
failure of the Sargent system.

We
have used our Electronics Expertise to develop a simple, plug in
solution to solve this problem.? We have worked with one of the largest
dealer in the South West who have had this problem on many of their new
Caravans and Motorhomes.? There seems to be no after market solution
being provided by Swift or Sargent for this problem.

Our filter is
a simple and effective way to solve this problem and can be fitted in
under a minute. It has the same connectors as the original pump so no
tools or wiring is required.? This makes it easy to fit by Dealers,
Engineers or Owners alike.? Fitting instructions:-

1. Locate the inboard pump (Usually SUREflo or Flojet)
2. Find the electrical connector from the pump to the main loom
3. Separate the two connectors
4. Plug the pump into one end of the Apuljack Pump Filter
5. Plug the wiring loom into the other end of the Apuljack Pump Filter

The unit requires no further adjustment, is maintenance free and comes with a 2 year warranty
