These units use a troublesome ‘All in One’ mains charger/solar/split charge module that owners know is unreliable and inefficient. Due to the fully integrated design of this module it cannot be opened to be repaired. This is why owners are offered an EC328 and new control panel (does not work with your existing control panel) rather than a repair.
Our standard repair/exchange removes the problem module and replaces it with our modern 6 stage intelligent charger and our custom circuit board to replicate the switching functions.
Exchange or Repaired units do not come with an internal solar regulator. Due to the limited space available after fitting the upgraded equipment, there is no space for a solar regulator. If you have solar you need to fit an external regulator. These are available at most leisure vehicle dealers. You simply need to cut the wires to the 4 way solar connector and connect the solar regulator ‘in line’ with the existing wiring. If you need help with this then please contact us.
